Exactly one year and one week ago today, my debut novel, The Ghost Hunters, finally hit the shelves.
It has been a whirlwind year which has seen The Ghost Hunters feature in The Sunday Times, Daily Mail, The Metro, Huffington Post, BBC Radio Wales, Today Programme, Time Out, The Big Issue as well as news ofdevelopment for a prime time TV series.
Today, to mark Halloween, I am delighted to be able to announce exclusively to you that Kathryn Taussig, fiction editor at Quercus, has concluded a deal for my second novel The Watchers.
Based on true events and drawing from real historical documents The Watchers, a spooky historical thriller, is set at the height of the Cold War in a remote coastal village, whose residents live in the shadow of an ancient secret. And when the local primary school is the scene of a terrifying UFO encounter, a Parliamentary researcher is sent from London to investigate.
On acquiring the rights Kathryn said: “I’m thrilled that next Halloween we will be publishing another terrifying tale by this talented and promising author. The Watcherswill sit beautifully alongside Neil’s first novel, The Ghost Hunters, and is just as compelling and completely page-turning.”
Quercus will publish The Watchers in October 2015.
Don't forget, if you haven't yet done so you can read an excerpt of The Ghost Hunters here or buy a copy online or on your local high street.
Thank you for ALL for your support, and Happy Halloween!
With my thanks and best wishes,
